PEER-TO-PEER · NO SERVERS · NO CLOUD

Two iPhones.
One camera.

Place one iPhone where the shot is. Hold the other as a live viewfinder with full manual control. Frame, zoom, expose and fire from across the room — nothing ever leaves your hands.

Live demo — real app behaviour

Drive the Lens from the Mirror.
Right here.

This is a working replica of MyTwinLens — same mode carousel, same shutter blink, same sync. Everything you touch on the Mirror happens on the Lens, exactly like on two paired iPhones.

How it works

Paired in seconds.
No account gymnastics, no cables.

STEP 01

Pick the roles

Open MyTwinLens on both iPhones. One becomes the Lens — the camera you place. The other becomes the Mirror — the viewfinder you hold.

STEP 02

Scan the QR

The Lens shows a pairing code and QR. Scan it with the Mirror — or pick the Lens from the list. The link is direct and validated by that code.

STEP 03

Shoot together

The Mirror sees what the Lens sees, live. Zoom, focus, exposure, flash, timer, four capture modes — and the shutter fires on both screens at the same instant.

Features

A real camera app.
Split across two phones.

MyTwinLens replicates the native iOS camera — chrome, gestures, feel — then hands the whole thing to the phone in your hand.

Remote everything

Zoom, tap-to-focus, exposure, flash, Live Photo, night mode, aspect, timer — every control travels from Mirror to Lens instantly.

True live viewfinder

Hardware-encoded H.264 streaming at ~30 fps with on-screen FPS and latency readouts. What you frame is what the Lens shoots.

Synchronized shutter

One capture event, two screens: the same native shutter blink fires on Lens and Mirror at the same instant. No guessing if it took.

Saved on both devices

Photos land in both photo libraries — each phone decides with its own "save to this device" switch. Shoot once, both keep it.

Five capture modes

Photo, video, slo-mo (120–240 fps), time-lapse and interval bursts (N shots every X seconds, AF locked or auto) — from either phone.

Native-grade controls

EV ruler with haptic ticks, focus reticle with sun slider, night mode, 4:3 / 16:9 / 1:1 — measured against the real Camera app, pixel by pixel.

Private by design

Direct peer-to-peer link over your Wi-Fi or hotspot. Pairing-code validation, zero servers, zero cloud, zero footage upload.

Last capture, always

The gallery circle previews your latest shot — photo or video poster frame — and survives relaunches. One tap opens Photos.

Privacy

Your footage never
meets a server.

Most remote-camera apps route your video through the cloud. MyTwinLens refuses to: the two iPhones talk directly to each other, on your network, and your footage never leaves them.

  • Nothing leaves your devicesVideo, commands and previews travel straight from one iPhone to the other. No server relays them, no cloud stores them.
  • Pairing-code validationThe Lens only accepts a Mirror that presents its code — scanned from the QR or typed. Strangers on the network are rejected.
  • Works without internetSame Wi-Fi or a Personal Hotspot is enough. On a mountain, in a basement, on a plane — no signal required.
  • No tracking, no adsNo analytics SDKs watching you shoot. There are no accounts and no sign-up — your subscription is handled entirely by Apple.

Made for

Every shot you couldn't take
from behind the camera.

CREATORS

Solo shoots

Film yourself and nail the framing live — no more run-check-run. See exactly what the camera sees while you're in front of it.

EVERYONE

Group photos

Put the Lens on a ledge, get in the picture, watch the frame from your hand and fire when everyone actually smiles.

PATIENCE

Wildlife & street

Leave the Lens at the feeder or the corner. Watch from cover, zoom quietly, shoot the exact moment — without spooking the subject.

PRECISION

Product & overhead

Rig the Lens on a tripod or overhead mount. Adjust exposure and focus from your chair, not from a ladder.

FAQ

Fair questions,
straight answers.

Do I really need two iPhones?

Yes — that's the whole idea. One iPhone is the camera (Lens), the other is your viewfinder and remote (Mirror). Any pair works: yours and a family member's, your current one and your old one in a drawer.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. The phones connect directly over a shared Wi-Fi network or a Personal Hotspot between them — no internet connection, no SIM, no servers involved. The stream never leaves that link.

How fast is the live view?

The viewfinder streams hardware-encoded H.264 at roughly 30 frames per second, with live FPS and round-trip latency shown on screen. On a normal home network the delay sits well under a tenth of a second.

Where do my photos and videos go?

Straight into the iOS photo library. Photos are saved on both iPhones — each device has its own "save to this device" switch, so each phone mirrors its own gallery. Videos are recorded and saved on the Lens.

What about the photo quality?

Captures are taken by the Lens at full native sensor quality (HEVC, maximum photo dimensions, quality prioritization) — the live stream is only the preview. What lands in your library is a real iPhone photo, not a video frame.

Can someone else on the network watch my stream?

The Lens only accepts a Mirror that presents the correct pairing code — scanned from the QR on the Lens screen or entered manually. Unknown invitations are rejected, so no one can join your session uninvited. The link itself is not encrypted, so use MyTwinLens on a network you trust.

Which iOS version do I need?

MyTwinLens targets modern iOS (17 and up) and adopts the latest camera and glass-material APIs where available — on iOS 26 you get the full native look and feel.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → MyTwinLens → Cancel. On the yearly plan, cancel at least 24 hours before the 7 day free trial ends and you pay nothing. On the monthly plan there is no trial, so billing starts immediately; cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to stop the next renewal. There is no account to delete — MyTwinLens never creates one, and refunds are handled by Apple under their refund policy.
